MOHARAM IS THE MONTH OF IMAM HOSSEIN (RA)

Moharam is the first month of the Arabic lunar year. Ashura means tenth of the month. In Ashura, Moharam, 61 AH, Imam Hossein (RA), son of Ali (RA) and Fatima Zahra (RA), the grandson of our Beloved Prophet (PBUH), and 72 members of his family and friends were martyred in Karbela (Iraq) by the Army of Yazid Ibn Moavieh (Lanat Ullah Alayhe).

MOHARAM IS THE MONTH OF IMAM HOSSEIN (RA). Imam Hossein (RA) died for Amre Be Maroof Va Nahi Az Monker (enjoining good deeds and forbidding evil deeds). He died to establish social justice (Edalat) and pious leadership (Imamat). Imam Hossein’s (RA) revolution will continue as long as there is oppression, injustice, and immorality in the world. For a Momen Muslim, everyday is Ashura and everywhere is Karbela.
