DATE OF BIRTH OF FATIMA ZAHRA (SA) IS NOT VERY WELL DOCUMENTED

 

TABARI says Fatima was born 5 years before MABAS (first revelation) when Khadijeh (SA) was 50 years old and Prophet (PBUH) was 35 years old. She was 20 years old when she married Imam Ali (SA), and when she died she was 28 years old.

 

AL-KAFI says Fatima (SA) was born 5 years after MABAS (first revelation) when Khadijeh (SA) was 60 years old. Fatima (SA) got married in 2 year A.H. when she was 10 years old, and delivered IMAM HASSAN when she was 11 years old. She died at the age of 18, ninety days after Prophet's (PBUH) death. As you note the Tabari's record is more reliable and accurate.

 

Fatima (SA) died no year 11 A.H., after she was injured, when the army attacked her home and burned the door of her house. She had a miscarriage as a result, she lost her baby (MOHSEN) and died 90 days after the death of Prophet (PBUH).

 

There is a Ravayat that Prophet (PBUH) on his death bed whispered in Fatima's (SA) ear and Fatima (SA) cried, then whispered in her ear the second time and she smiled. Fatima (SA) said, "First time my father told me that he is going to die soon and I cried. The second time, my father said I (Fatima) will follow him soon and I smiled."
